Our custom spring was designed to assist when cooking a heavy and large piece of meat like a leg of lamb that is off-centre which can pull the sprocket out of the chain.
Using the spring will counteract that and make the sprocket run smoothly on the chain.
To use the spring you hook the thin end of the spring onto the bottom of the frame and thick end with the finger grip over the skewer – see image.
